Instructions for Using the Girth Tightener on your Australian Saddle
Return to Girth Page
 |
STEP 1
Put the girth strap through the buckle on the girth. Place the Tightener next to the billet strap with the metal post facing away from the horse and the handle pointed down. |
 |
STEP 2
Put the girth strap through the Tightener and move it up so that the top of the tightener is above the buckle. Make sure that the top of the Tightener is touching only either the girth or the sweat flap of the saddle, not the horse. Put the metal post on the Tightener through a hole in the billet strap (from the under side of the billet strap). |
 |
STEP 3
Pull up on the Tightener, and guide the toungue of the buckle into a hole in the billet strap. Move the Tightener up and repeat if necessary. The Tightener gives you loads of extra leverage, so make sure not to over tighten! |
Note: Colors of the products my vary slightly from the photos due to differences in computer monitor displays, dye lot variations, effects of lighting, etc.
