The hot saddle in Australia is the "crossover style", and nobody does crossover better than Toowoomba Saddlery. This type of saddle girths like a Western saddle and has swinging fenders like a Western saddle, but has the light weight, rider security, and balance of an Australian saddle. Find out for yourself why the Aussies love these saddles.
Stock Fender saddles are built on an American made "Ultra-Hide" saddle tree. This tree is a modern evolution of the bullhide tree. Instead of using raw hide to cover the tree, a state-of-the-art polyshield membrane is used. Advantages of Ultra-Hide are:
- the polyshield coating makes the saddle incredibly strong
- excellent chemical and water resistance
- the polyshield is light weight and thin
- web strained seating area creates a "hammock effect" for increased rider comfort
