Aussie Saddles Work Great on Donkeys!

The Down Under Master Campdraft Deluxe
Campdrafting is an Australian horse sport similar to American cutting. A rider must ride into a pen (camp), cut a cow out of a herd and drive it into a separate pen, then maneuver (draft) the animal in a figure eight.
A campdraft saddle must be close contact, light weight, and allow room for movement. The Master Campdraft Deluxe is just the ticket. We made a small number of these saddles in a beautiful high quality English leather. Finished in a rich looking oxblood color with black seat and poleys (shown) or in all black.
Next year this saddle will be featured in the Down Under Collection of saddles, but it will be made in the regular Down Under leather. Here is your chance to get a "special edition" of the saddle!

New from Syd Hill is this synthetic stock saddle. Very light weight (just 13 pounds without fittings) and comfortable, it is terrific for trail riding or endurance. The flaps are made of a smooth, padded, leather-look synthetic material - chosen for good looks and durability. The seat and poleys are made of a sure-grip synthetic equi- suede material. Traditional Aussie serge panels are color matched to the saddle.
The saddle has dual English width billet straps and an overgirth slot, so it can be used either with or without an overgirth. Supplied with Down Under series nubuck leathers and four-bar brass stirrups. This can be upgraded to Australian made biothane leathers and polymer stirrups for extra light weight and ease of care.
Available in brown or black (saddle shown in brown).

New Fitment Correction Pads

What do you do if you have a problem fitment issue with an Australian style saddle? A fitment correction pad may be the right answer. Down Under Saddle Supply has several new pads designed to help with:
- saddles that are a little too wide for the horse
- saddles that need to be raised up a little at the front or the back to be level
- horses with odd shaped withers or backs
- saddles that don't make even contact
- using a saddle on a horse other than the one for which it was fitted
