Outback look

Nice, bulky, I like it. It's actually for a Halloween costume, but I'll wear it outside of that holiday

Better than the other option

Posted by Careful consumer in CA on Nov 1st 2016

I am not a horseback rider. I am an urban walker who wants to stay dry while walking miles on rainy days. I am also petite (5 ft tall). While I was searching and wondering if I could find an old-fashioned yellow slicker with metal closures, I came upon this slicker and another one that is listed for women (at about $14.00 in orange or yellow). I bought both. This one came right away. The other one took about 3 x as long to arrive. This one fits quite well (sleeve are a bit long). The other one was way too long. The only good thing about the other one was that it came with a basic hood. This one requires a rain hat.

what did you expect for 41$

Posted by vance on Jun 3rd 2016

It was only 41 $ so don't expect more...it will keep the rain off but material is cheap plastic and I don't expect it will last a season in the bush. I do like the company that makes it and plan to buy a better version(still good price).

good cheap rain slicker!

this long black nylon button up rain slicker with lining is cheap, packable, and looks good. fit is true to size and quality is better than i expected. this is a great raincoat and of course keeps the rain off very well.

What a great looking rain slicker..... I normally wear a 3XL and the 2XL fit me , but just barely.... Lightweight and just what I need for going around in the wind and rain.... It isn't very heavy duty and not meant for walking through a briar patch, but that is one reason I purchased it... I don't want a heavy or thick gauge rain coat.... It's meant to shed water and not blow open in the wind, and it will surely do that... Looks awesome with my Minnesota Folding Hat .... *** UPDATE *** 4/2/16 Must say this is one of my favorite Amazon purchases.. The compliments I get on this rain slicker are never ending.... Sometimes the same people will compliment it every time I wear it.... It will keep you dry to around mid-calf.....In heavy rain the water that runs of the jacket will soak your pants from the calf down

it's not as bad as some rain ponchos I have opened

Posted by Hoehn Dude on Oct 22nd 2015

The coat came well packaged, with minimal folding. While there is a chemical smell, it's not as bad as some rain ponchos I have opened. The material is thin an flexible and the jacket is large enough to fit over bulky garments. The hook and loop adjustment strips at the cuffs of the sleeves are definitely need to make the sleeves fit properly. The medium is somewhat large for the 66" person for whom this was purchased. The leg straps will be helpful, and something that I didn't realize was included.

I just received my slicker today so I haven't had the chance to see how waterproof it is but going by the size chart it fits fabulous.... Great purchase :-)

Five stars

Good fit with room for jacket underneath.

Love the slicker

I love the slicker.. The only reason it is too large is because I should have been more careful when I ordered it. My fault for ordering the wrong size. I'll give this one to my husband and order a smaller one for myself.

Good weight

Not real heavy. Nice and long. Only thing that would make it better would be a detachable hood. Large enough to fit over bulky clothes in the winter.

Product entirely as advertised

I needed a waterproof raincoat that looked nice, but that would not be too hot in warmer weather. Spring is just trying to get here, so we'll see how light it really is, but it functions and looks just fine.

Exactly as advertised

Excellent service! The item was delivered expeditiously and was exactly as described. This slicker extends way past my knees, so it will be good cover since I am 6' 5". I would recommend this item to anyone who needs a well made, well designed rain garment.
