This saddle may be low in price, but it's not short on quality or comfort! The 4 1/2" deep seat and 4" knee pads combined with its lightweight makes this saddle an ideal choice for the entry level rider. The flaps and skirts are in a nice hogprint leather (like a football). The seat and poleys are smooth, soft leather. You'll love the comfort of the suspended seating system.

The Outback is adjustable, just like the rest of the Kimberley saddles, so send us a wither tracing and we'll get just the right fit for your horse!

This saddle comes with 2.5" color matched stirrup leathers, an acrylic fleece girth, and your choice of brass safety stirrups, aluminum stirrups, stainless steel 4 bar stirrups, or leather covered stirrups. The brass 4 bar stirrups shown in the photos have been discontinued and are no longer available. Let us know which stirrups you prefer in the rider information text box.

Australian Saddle

Omg I cant believe you sent me such a beautiful saddle and girth. I think you messed up my order since it is extremely high quality and looks and feels like a $2,000 saddle not $400. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

Love my new Aussie saddle

I love my new saddle, and for the price I don't think I could have found anything remotely better. I have a Drum horse, and she is a big draft type and round. Down Under took the measurements and the saddle fits her perfectly! This is the first time she didn't get antsy or dance around while a girth was being cinched up. The saddle is super comfy, and I could get the stirrups short enough for someone of my limited height lol. It's well made, beautiful, and the leather is not cheap. Down Under's customer service is awesome as well. They are quick to reply and very willing to answer any questions about their products.

Great Saddle!

This is my first Aussie Saddle and I love it. I sent in a wither tracing for my Anglo-Arab since he has prominent withers and Down Under made the adjustments perfectly, my horse has a solid sweat mark after every ride. I've had this saddle for a few months now and the quality of leather has held up well and it's easy to clean. I've recently started mounted archery and even with the comfortable deep seat I've had no trouble posting or using my bow from horseback. Even on long trail rides I feel very comfortable in this saddle, far more than any of my English or Western saddles that I ridden for many years. For the quality and price this is a great saddle for anyone wanting try an Aussie saddle.
